Kuta and Legian Beaches and Seminyak are famous for great waves, sunsets, and women in bikinis! These are among the most beautiful beaches in Bali. The popular holiday areas of Kuta, Tuban (south Kuta), Legian and Seminyak front a gentle curve of coastline just north of the airport.
The hotels range from the luxury, to first class, to budget. Kuta is famous for its losemens or home-stays which are cheap, while at the same time being intimate. I know I’ve stayed at many of these properties thru out the island and it’s a great way to get to know the Balinese people.
Kuta and Legian are loaded with great shopping and has some good restaurants while Seminyak is quiter. Most of these shops and restaurants are on Jalan Legian which is the main drag between Kuta and Legian beach. For those of you who like the disco scene, there are plenty of them here. You just have to ask around for the latest and greatest.
