Jim's Home is in the hills of Bali. He is a student of Balinese Topeng (mask dance) and has performed in Bali and in the USA. When Jim first arrived in Ubud in 1974 you could count the number of tourists on one hand, water was carried up from the river, and the only lighting was by kerosene lamp. He has seen many changes in Bali since those early days but the Spirit remains the same. Jim has experienced many great days with his daughter, Gitana and son, Made', who have been enjoying Bali since childhood.
Inspired by the culture of Bali he continued his education and graduated from Sonoma State with a degree in Cultural Anthropology focusing upon the dance and music of Bali. Jim has studied with many Topeng masters including the revered Pak Tempo of Tampaksiring, Nyoman Wenton of Cal Arts of Los Angeles, Pak Tutor of Petulu, I Gusti Ngurah Windia from Carangsari and the contemporary Anak Agung Anom Putra of Ubud.
